Icelandic home grown food is like no other and tasting is believing. During this walking tour you will be joined by a friendly guide. We will be walking past the some of the main town sites and streets on the way to the Akureyri's top restaurants and family-run locals. We have handpicked the top local spots and selected a great variety of Icelandic cuisines for this delicious tour.
We start the tour at the striking Hof Cultural Centre where we enjoy a light course and then walk through the town and beautiful walking street stopping at a selection of restaurants .You will get the chance to sample a range of delicious authentic Icelandic Cusine including home grown Icelandic meat and seafood dishes and try an Icelandic beer. The tour ends with a traditional Icelandic dessert. After the tour, a sample of the infamous fermented shark is available for purchase to anyone interested in this ancient Icelandic dish.This is not for everyone's taste so is an optional add on.
