HVERIR

Hverir is also known as Námafjall Geothermal area and is just east of Lake Myvatn, this area is reminescent of Mars with its yellow-red extraterrestrial landscape. It has a high sulphur content causing the unique colouration and egg smell! It is here that the smoky fumeroles (steam vents) can be seen coming from the group and the bubbling mud puts.
